What Expensica Is

Expensica is an Obsidian plugin that helps you track personal finances. It’s free, open-source software distributed under the MIT License.

What You Can Expect

  1. Functionality: Expensica will work as described to track your financial transactions within Obsidian.
  2. Maintenance: We’ll make reasonable efforts to fix bugs and keep the plugin compatible with future Obsidian updates.
  3. Transparency: Any significant changes to how Expensica works will be clearly communicated in update notes.
  4. Privacy: As detailed in our Privacy Policy, we collect no data from you whatsoever.

What We Can’t Promise

  1. Perfect Software: Expensica may have bugs or incompatibilities. Software is imperfect because humans are imperfect.
  2. Eternal Support: While we plan to maintain Expensica for the foreseeable future, circumstances change. No software lasts forever.
  3. Financial Advice: Expensica is a tracking tool, not a financial advisor. It doesn’t make recommendations about how you should spend or save.
